The 5 Tuns Heathrow Terminal 5 – London Restaurant Reviews

Address: London Heathrow Terminal 5 England

Should you be fortunate enough to be stuck in an airport with good dining options, Heathrow Terminal 5 is one that competes with the best of them. One of these is The Five Tuns and it could well turn out to be a refuge from both your boredom and hunger.

This 5 Tuns is one of those places that has struck just the right balance between a traditional pub and bar while giving off a family-friendly atmosphere.

Not only that, this is an attractive and airy space. It’s located on the top floor and even has some nice views. Inside, it has a contemporary look about it comprising of dark wood and exquisite fabric.

Looking at the menu and there is a wide selection of standard favourites – but not bog-standard ones – everything comes with a hint of additional creativity. You can choose from an all-day menu and a breakfast menu. Useful for those who are still existing in a different time zone!

Keeping it simple, fish and chips could well be one of the best choices here. The moist white fish coated with golden batter is just so tempting – and delicious!

The dessert card includes a many & varied selection, too: Treacle Tart with Clotted Cream, Sticky Date Pudding & Toffee Sauce, plus Bread and Butter Pudding are all there.

The Five Tuns is the kind of place that you would not normally be thinking of going to, being that it’s at an airport. However, it has great food at comparatively reasonable prices. a

I highly recommend this as a good casual-dining place.
